Mrs Back
Son Christopher aged 9
My Son has been training with Karate Leadership UK since June 2009. Since then he has grown in confidence. When his instructor was invited into the school to give a presentation, Christopher stood up in front of the whole school to give a demonstration. This was something that would have not happened before and he now joins in other activities, such as trumpet playing.
Mrs. P.D Youdle
"I would like to say to you all at Karate Leadership UK. Thank you very much for what you have done for me, my husband (paul) and four children (Steven 14, Laura-louise 12, Ben 10, Anthony 7). I must start by saying that my biggest regret is not meeting you or your colleages years ago. When i bumped into you down the pentagon centre that day in june 2009 our little family unit wasn't going anywhere in life. Stuck in a rut. We needed something to focus upon. Me, my husband and the children!!! I chatted to you about the Karate classes, told you i was in need of some guidance. You reassured me that Karate could help our family down the right path in life. After our little chat and some info. O venues I left. Excited I might add. That Saturday 6th june me and the four children attened our first class. we were introduced to lots of instructors. We were shown that we had to bow as we entered the "dojo" and before we left. We bowed before we got to the mat, and before we left it. We bowed to everybody. This procedure was all as a mark of respect. We were then introduced to our instrouctor. His name was Sensei Latter. He took the basic student class. While his son Master LAtter took the Ninja class (3-7 years). I must add it took me four weeks to get the courage to join the children and put on a Gi and get up on the mat. But I did it. And I'm proud of it. It wasn't long till Anthony our youngest, Who had spent 4weeks in Ninja class, joined us in basic class. our biggest triumph as a family came all in one week. my husband joined us, we all progressed from basic level up to leadership students and to top we went from white belt to white/red belt. Our duaghter Laura-Louise we are very proud of. She has progressed a ot faster than the rest of us. As you and Sensei Latter both said "she's a natural talent" We were so pleased when she was chosen for C.I.T. Her main goal in life now is to become an instructor and one day run her own school. I must admit that me and my husband have grown to love karate so much we even occasionally have private lessons on top of the regular ones while the children are at school so that we can get exrta practice. I'll end this letter by saying one more important thing i forgot to add. that is thta I found something very obvious about Karate leadership UK and all their instuctors. Right from the top where you are down to the youngest ninja everyone is treated the same. With respect and kindness. A nice family atmosphere. That is important."
Student, Aged 8
"My Son, who is 8 years old, has a severe receptive and expressive language delay, also a considerable delay in developing his skills particularly motor and cognitive. He has an Autistic Spectrum disorder and a short attention span.
9 months ago he was a quiet, withdrawn child virtually unable to speak. His school age was judged to be around 5 max.
He needed tasks to raise his self esteem and a therapist at his school recommended Karate. He joined Karate Leadership UK approximately 6 months ago and the difference is quite amazing.
Today he is a confident, talkative young man who displays self discipline and a desire to help me - a single dad. There is no comparison between the child 6/7 months ago and now. A recent item of school work has been judged to be around 7 years of age and if he continues to improve at this rate there is a real possibility that that he will go into mainstream secondary school."
